Beeswax Food Wraps
On Saturday, March 16th, North Street chef and affiliated artist Ashleigh Nahrini led a community workshop on the process of making their own beeswax food wraps. She presented two different techniques that involve melting beeswax into sheets of cotton fabric. The wraps are washable, reusable, and even re-waxable, and are a great alternative to one-time use, fossil-fuel derived saran-wrap, ziplock bags, and even plastic Tupperware.

Session 1 Community Workshop
Session 1 Artists in Residence will offer free workshops in their respective disciplines: Shuk Han Lui will offer a 3-hour workshop for the metalpoint, a drawing instrument used since medieval times, which draws with brass, copper, gold, and silver. Each metal has its own reaction to oxidation; the length of time and the degree to which oxidation occurs depends on local conditions. Open House and Workshop
Join us this Saturday for an open house and workshop! Current resident artists Christine Carr and Anne Garvey will lead a bookmaking and printmaking workshop. "Plywood" by Noel Woodhouse will be up for viewing. Ashleigh Nahreini of ToLove Cookery will provide snacks.

Small Works Show
Willits Center for the Arts Presents its 2020 Members Small Works Show The WCA’s next show will be the Members Small Works Show: A pop-up store of unique gifts and art for the holidays.
