Lynea Diaz-Hagan is a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary artist who works with music, text, ambient sound, and movement.  She performs regularly in the Bay Area as a jazz vocalist and is the co-founder of the new music ensemble Merkuri, which combines the traditions of American jazz and Persian classical music. She earned a B.A. in English from Yale University, an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from UCLA, and an M.A. in Jazz Studies (vocal performance) from San Jose State University.
