As he completes his sophomore year at UCLA, Tim Oslund has continued on as a North Street Apprentice. An Arabic and Geography major, Tim has implemented his newly acquired GIS mapping skills to document some of our local wilderness areas. Time believes that these little-known and rarely visited locales are a unique and important part of our local ecological and cultural heritage, and feels the importance of documenting and preserving them for current and future generations. Tim’s independent spirit, singular talents, and deep, enduring love of the wildest parts of Mendocino County shine through in his work. The maps of these special spots will soon becomes treasured entries in the upcoming North Street Local Guidebook.
