A junior at Willits High School and a natural leader of the pack, new apprentice RJ Aldaco has used his talents to bolster local bike culture. In the process, he has shared his spirit of service and leadership at North Street and throughout the community. During the winter session, RJ designed and built five elegant bike racks out of salvaged redwood, which he then arranged to donate to Willits businesses and schools. RJ’s indomitable spirit, sense of purpose, and entrepreneurial nature have inspired his peers to join him as volunteers during North Street work days, more evidence of his essential role in building community at the North Street Collective.
